Mark Anthony Brewing Canada Ltd. is looking for a hands-on and people-focused Warehouse Supervisor to join our Surrey beverage manufacturing operation.
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee a team of material handlers and support the movement of finished goods, raw materials, packaging, chemicals, barrels, equipment, and other materials to help maximize operational efficiency. This role is responsible for warehouse organization, inventory control, supervising and coaching warehouse staff, ensuring timely and accurate material movement, maintaining high safety standards, and supporting process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
What You’ll Do- Schedule and assign work to maximize productivity of forklift/reach-truck operators and material handlers.
- Manage the movement of finished goods from production to the warehouse and to outbound trucks, ensuring adherence to FIFO.
- Receive packaging materials and ingredients from inbound trucks, receive them into the WMS, label them, and put them away in the warehouse.
- Organize all materials, including packaging, ingredients, chemicals, and dunnage, in both the production building and warehouse building in accordance with HACCP and safety policies.
- Actively clear space from the production floor by initiating and directing the removal of dunnage or obsolete materials.
- Ensure inventory accuracy in the warehouse by maintaining correct SKUs in bin locations and correct quantities that match the WMS through regular cycle counts.
- Ensure staff are following material handling SOPs, including operation of handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, stacking of pallets, and truck loading patterns.
- Conduct 5S and value stream mapping to continuously improve material flow.
- Ensure ad hoc transfers of miscellaneous goods between buildings/departments are completed and transacted in the WMS.
- Observe work performance of team members and ensure work is performed in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Provide coaching for warehouse team members and follow up with corrective actions when required.
- Conduct crew talks with assertiveness with the warehouse team.
- Regularly post and provide updated KPI, recognition, and company policy communications with the warehouse team using notification boards.
- Foster recognition of staff members and assist warehouse team members in developing their skills.
- If qualified, provide forklift and pallet jack training to staff.
- Use WMS to process inbound purchase orders, inventory movements, and other related functions.
- Communicate with the purchasing team and other front-office teams via MS Teams, email, phone, and in person when required.
- Assist with the use of handling equipment, including forklift and hand/electric pallet jack, to move finished goods, packaging, raw materials, or equipment.
- Report safety incidents and assist with incident investigations.
- Monitor housekeeping, security, and safety standards on a regular basis.
- Assist with loading or unloading trailers/trucks when necessary.
- Put away pallets of finished goods into the appropriate bin locations of the warehouse racking.
- Manage traffic in the yard, direct truck drivers to the proper loading doors, and work with the maintenance team to control onsite contractor truck or equipment movement to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Arrange the removal of excess dunnage, empty IBC totes, drums, and wood/plastic pallets from the yard.
- Arrange disposal of packaging materials, including empty cans, lids, cartons, and corrugated materials.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a production facility or warehouse environment, preferably with experience in beverage or other consumer-packaged goods.
- Proficiency with scan guns, MS Office, and ERP systems such as SAP or QAD.
- Exceptional communication and organization skills.
- Valid forklift licenses, including sit-down and ride-on high reach.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Operations/Supply Chain diploma or degree, or equivalent practical experience.

We offer competitive compensation that recognizes individual and company performance. The typical hiring range for this position is $65,000–$72,000 annually, complemented by a bonus plan. Base pay is determined by market location and job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
