We are hiring an experienced Plumber to performgas meter reconnects, new build-ups, set regulators, relocate and/or extend house lines for meter move-outs. This person will also perform all safety checks prior to and after work is completed, and turn on/check functionality of appliances.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform safety inspections on appliances prior to turn-off.
- Core bore walls as required.
- Break down existing meter installation, reconnect to house lines, set and check for lockup on regulators, install vent lines, and move meters in some cases more than 20 feet.
- Check for leaks by turning on appliances and ensuring safety.
- Extensive interaction with internal and external customers.
Required Qualifications:
Master Plumber/Gas Fitters license for state; ability to pull all appropriate permits.
5+ years experience with interior and exterior gas piping, including turning off and on gas appliances, including older models.
Familiarity with the customers service territory.
Ability to work overtime and on-call emergencies as needed.
Ability to pass the customers required Operator Qualification (OQ) courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, plus Master Plumber/Gas Fitters license.
