About This Position
Description:
North Star Oregon is seeking a creative, self-driven Social Media Coordinator to help grow and elevate our presence across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. This is an exciting opportunity to use storytelling and digital content to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Plan, film, and edit engaging short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, Stories)
- Create, schedule, and manage posts across all social media platforms
- Develop compelling content that highlights our mission, services, and community impact
- Monitor engagement metrics and refine strategy based on performance
- Collaborate with leadership to support campaigns, messaging, and brand voice
Qualifications - Required
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check through the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS).
- Basic computer literacy for electronic documentation and communication.
Working Requirements
- Proven experience creating content for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
- Strong video production and editing skills (iPhone proficiency is great; tools like CapCut, Canva, or similar)
- Understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices
- Confidence both behind and in front of the camera
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
- Bonus: Experience in healthcare, human services, or other mission-driven organizations
- Part-time role with potential for growth
- Flexible schedule
- Must be based in Oregon or able to travel to program sites for content capture
