What You’ll Do:
The Director of Clinical Services provides clinical direction and administrative oversight of a specific program. This position is responsible for ensuring clinical excellence through developing, implementing and monitoring clinical quality. This position also has administrative responsibilities in managing the program and supervising staff. This position is also accountable to specific performance, financial, and growth goals and objectives.
• Oversees all aspects of the program to ensure quality and initiates quality improvement that may be necessary.
Hires and trains new therapists, dietitians and nurses, collaborating with and/or referring to specialist in the given discipline for guidance.
Works with other leaders to guide the professional development of staff in therapists, dietitians, and nurses training and supervision.
Provides supervision of program staff and works closely with Lead Therapist, Lead Dietitian, and Lead Nurse/DON to ensure that treatment is clinically appropriate for the clients, meets professional and ethical standards, and is effective.
Coordinates medical care with physicians by following through with their established directives.
Coordinates admissions into the Program and oversees integration into the therapeutic community.
Guarantees the treatment program operates optimally through tasks that ensure that client paperwork, including intake reports, clients files, progress reports, and treatment plans are up to date and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Consistently conducts overall assessments of the effectiveness of the treatment program, gathering input from lead staff, and addresses the strengths and weaknesses.
Serves as a liaison between the treatment programs and collaborates with other entities in the community that are significant and influential in the clients’ lives, such as families and referral sources.
Oversees scheduling and overtime/vacation/sick time management for supervisees
Conducts (or coordinates with appropriate supervisors) weekly supervision for therapists and dietitians. Shares outcome measures and reviews documentation.
Maintains and ensures the program operates within the guidelines accreditation boards as appropriate, as well as increasing patient safety awareness.
Reviews stakeholder feedback in Perception of Care surveys and revises program offerings as needed.
Partners with appropriate leaders to develop, coordinate and deliver in-services, education sessions, presentations and training to clients, families, staff and other caregivers.
As appropriate to discipline, write and submit proposals for presentations at various industry specific conferences (e.g., iaedp).
As appropriate to discipline, support Utilization Review department/process by facilitating communication between treatment team members and UR for weekly insurance reviews and peer to peer reviews.
Collaborates with local outreach representative to creatively engage referral sources on monthly basis.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or other relevant health related discipline.
3+ years of progressively responsible experience in leadership role and a minimum of 2+ years recent related experience working with eating disordered clients or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Experience in partnering with an executive team
Licensed as a Clinical Counselor in the state the position is located (preferred)
