The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

• Provide independent nursing and collaborative medical management to inpatient and outpatient population in the Department of Cardiology
• Provide pre-procedural assessment, including history and physicals and reassessment for moderate sedation; management of catheterization and surgical site issues; patient education; post-procedural assessments; perform various cardiac stress testing; writing discharge orders and discharge planning
• Establish Medical Diagnosis and a problem list for acute and/or chronic health problems
• Ordering and interpretation of laboratory and other diagnostic tests and therapies
• Prescription of pharmacological agents and other devices
• Establish and maintain current medication list
• Provide appropriate medical referrals for services not provided in current scope of practice
• Prescribe CDS medication
• Provide patient education and counseling re: medication, diet and lifestyle modification
• Assist during COVID pandemic crisis, setting up triage and urgent care center for non-covid patients.
• Assist with Cardiac CTA patients, decreasing HR rates to obtain optimal imaging and recovering patient for safe discharge
• Preformed ACLS, hematoma management, IV fluid management, initiated stroke and sepsis protocols.
• Average of 12 patients per shift, approx... 1,872 patients per year
