Job Description
Studio Gang is seeking an collaborative and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to join our talented Marketing & Communications team full-time in our Chicago or New York office. The Marketing Coordinator will work collaboratively with the members of the Marketing & Communications team to enhance the visibility of the Studio and its leadership in strategic ways. The Marketing Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to lead the Studio’s bids and proposals from start to finish. They will also support a range of promotional and business development initiatives, from producing awards submissions to drafting copy for the firm’s social media and maintaining project data.
The role requires a responsible individual who is comfortable managing multiple deadlines through proactive communication and efficient project management. The ideal candidate will also possess a keen graphic sensibility and strong writing skills, with an aptitude for uniting language and images to craft a compelling and cohesive story. They will also have familiarity with architectural procurement processes and will look forward to bringing their talents to a mission-driven, leading creative practice.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Marketing Director, producing brochures, portfolios, qualifications packages, project proposals, and external presentations with strong strategic content that clearly communicate the Studio’s values and differentiators
- As part of the Marketing team, preparing Go/No-Go materials for Studio Partners by joining intake calls, researching clients, producing new project summaries, and making strategic recommendations
- Conducting Business Development research and outreach, including identifying and coordinating meetings with new potential clients and collaborators
- Researching architectural awards programs and coordinating awards submissions
- Supporting Studio Leadership with business development objectives, including coordinating conference attendance and developing bespoke presentations and other marketing collateral
- Monitoring the shared Marketing inbox and external bid portals for relevant proposal opportunities
- Updating and maintaining marketing assets such as studio diagrams, project data, and submission records
- As part of the Marketing & Communications team, supporting the team’s broader promotional efforts, such as drafting social media and website content, coordinating speaking engagements and tours, supporting the redesign of the Studio's website, and other activities as needed
- Supporting the continuing development of a project documentation system and the transition to and maintenance of marketing collateral and data in systems such as OpenAsset, Deltek, and ConstantContact
- 2-3 years of A/E industry experience in a marketing or communications-focused role
- Bachelor’s degree or above in architecture, design, marketing, communications, or equivalent
- Strong organizational and management abilities, with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop required
