Description:

The School Success Specialist is responsible for driving the success and growth of cosmetology school partnerships from initial lead engagement through onboarding, education delivery, and ongoing relationship management. Through strong communication and high-quality service, this role directly contributes to school success, student readiness, and long-term partner loyalty within the cosmetology school channel.

As the primary day-to-day contact for school partners, this individual plays a critical role in strengthening relationships, increasing program utilization, and enhancing student and instructor outcomes. The School Success Specialist works closely with the School Partnership Manager to support growth strategies while partnering with the Education & Operations Coordinator to ensure a seamless execution experience.

This role requires a highly relational, proactive individual who can influence, support, and grow accounts through consistent communication, in-person engagement, and performance-driven follow-up.

Account Management & School Success

  • Engage and nurture incoming leads consistently, conducting discovery conversations and converting prospective school partners into active accounts
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned school accounts including, account setup, ordering and payment support and post-onboarding education needs.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with school owners, directors, and instructors
  • Conduct regular check-ins and business reviews to ensure partner satisfaction and program success
  • Monitor account health, engagement, and program adoption; proactively address gaps or risks to support retention and growth strategies

Program Adoption & Growth

  • Drive consistent usage and integration of education programs within partner schools
  • Identify and drive upsell opportunities by promoting additional education offerings that support student success and increase post-graduation revenue
  • Leverage education and relationship development to expand program adoption, guiding partners toward offerings that enhance student outcomes and long-term earning potential, with a direct influence on monthly school revenue goals
  • Track and influence key success metrics, including upsells and post-graduation performance, using insights to drive program growth and increase student AOV

Instructor & Student Development

  • Support the development, growth and confidence of instructors through onboarding, coaching, and resource support
  • Ensure student success post certification program with additional offerings or opportunities
  • Reinforce curriculum alignment and best practices to maximize learning outcomes
  • Gather feedback from educators and students to provide insights to improve the education experience

In-Person Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Represent the brand professionally at school events, trainings, and industry functions
  • Engage with school partners during in-person visits, events, and relationship-building opportunities
  • Strengthen partnerships through face-to-face interactions that drive loyalty and long-term growth

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner cross-functionally with the School Partnership Manager and Education & Operations Coordinator to ensure alignment across strategy, execution and support
  • Communicate partner needs, insights, and opportunities back to internal teams
  • Ensure a seamless partner experience by aligning strategy, execution, and ongoing account success across teams

Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement

  • Organize and maintain accurate account records, engagement notes, and activity tracking in CRM systems
  • Analyze account performance and provide insights on growth opportunities and risks
  • Continuously refine approach based on partner feedback, performance data, and business goals
Requirements:

Experience & Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of experience in cosmetology education, school partnerships, account management, or related field
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders with long-term success
  • Proven ability to manage multiple leads and accounts while driving measurable growth and engagement
  • Proficiency?in software platforms (e.g., CRM tools, Microsoft Office,?NetSuite, virtual training platforms)
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and accountability
  • Ability to present to large audiences virtually and in-person with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 50% travel to support school visits, events, and industry needs

Success Metrics

  • Lead-to-close conversion rate above 20%
  • Upsell rate of 25% for existing school accounts
  • Reach monthly goals for new school partnerships
  • Increase in AOV (Average Order Value) per student each month
  • Support revenue growth within existing accounts
  • Successful program adoption & repeat engagement with existing partners
  • Effectiveness of cross-functional collaboration measured by program success and minimal issues/escalations
