Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

HAS Inc. is actively looking for a motivated, organized, reliable, part-time LPN in Boise to oversee the health and care of patients. This is a management position working with adults who have developmental disabilities. The work is challenging and fast-paced, but also very rewarding.
LPN Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect, track, and maintain client history and records of medications; record any new data
- Maintain the charting of medication (MAR)
- Develop care plans for participants
- Administer medication, including some injections if state certification allows; monitor medication doses and client response
- Supervise Direct Care Employees and provide with them appropriate tasks and training
- Provide emotional support to participants and their families/guardians; listen to concerns and feedback
- Take instruction from and report updates to the Nursing Director
- Report any unusual or drastic changes in patient behavior/symptoms; seek help from superiors when needed
- Follow state and federal-mandated standards and procedures
- Schedule and attend medical and psychiatric appointments
- Work collaboratively with medical professionals and pharmacies
LPN Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Completed state-approved LPN education program; current LPN license to practice
- Previous clinical and/or healthcare experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite; adept at data entry
- Understanding of healthcare state standards and procedures
- High level of patience, empathy, and compassion
- Excellent observation skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with supervising individuals
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently from direct supervision
- Mental health experience is a plus
Work Location: In person
Schedule & Job Type:
- Full-time
- (Rotating) On-call & weekend support as necessary.
