Position Information
Under the direction of the Senior Director of Finance & Business Operations (SDFBO), the Senior Finance & Budget Operations Analyst serves as a highly influential and productive member of the Administrative Services and Strategic Executive Team (ASSET), supporting the Organizations of the Chancellor and the Provost & Executive Vice Chancellor. The Senior Analyst provides expert-level support to the management of ASSET in the business and financial operations by performing a wide range of financial and analytical duties. To include supporting organizational-level activities for the annual planning and budget process, financial management, and monthly and ad hoc reporting and analysis, and special projects. In addition, the Senior Analyst may provide financial and analytical support for other ASSET-supported divisions/departments. The Senior Analyst reviews transactions requiring organizational-level approval, performs complex budgetary/financial analysis and reporting, and takes the lead in preparing executive-level high-level communication and reports for multiple departments. This position is expected to provide a high level of administrative support to the ASSET Management. The analyst independently performs moderate to complex budgetary/financial analysis and reporting such as multi-year planning, rate sustainability and feasibility, advises on cost containment measures, review annual costing reports, performs reconciliations and develops/prepares reports on overall resource management. This includes research, monitoring trend and deficit analysis, tracking, generating monthly (inc. ad-hoc) executive level summaries, and reporting to various constituents (e.g., UCOP, department heads, organization head, and the campus budget office) of multiple core and non-core funding streams.The full salary range for the Senior Director of Finance & Business Operations is $93,200.00 - $174,200.00 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $120,000.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
