Job Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is key to the Team Kline's recruiting engine. This role owns high-volume, full-cycle recruiting for field and skilled trades positions across Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska — the roles that keep our crews staffed and our work moving. This position demands exceptional organizational skills, fast and clear communication, and deep comfort working with branch managers and field leaders to fill critical roles efficiently.
This role operates within established processes with a strong emphasis on speed-to-fill, candidate experience, and consistent execution. The Talent Acquisition Specialist works closely with the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist and the HR Director to ensure recruiting efforts stay coordinated and on track.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist works closely with the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist and the HR Director to ensure recruiting efforts stay coordinated and on track.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for field, skilled trades, and apprenticeship-level positions across all Team Kline locations.
- Source candidates through job boards, trade school outreach, apprenticeship programs, employee referrals, and community channels.
- Review applications, conduct phone screens, and move qualified candidates efficiently through the hiring process.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with branch managers and field leaders; ensure a consistent, professional candidate experience at every stage.
- Extend offers within established compensation guidelines and confirm acceptance.
- Initiate procurement process for new hires and coordinate onboarding handoff to the HR Generalist.
- Maintain proactive communication with hiring leaders and branch managers on open requisitions — providing pipeline updates and surfacing issues early.
- Complete intake conversations at the start of each search to align on role requirements and candidate profile.
- Flag patterns or recurring challenges to the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist or HR Director for process-level resolution.
- Maintain accurate and current candidate records in JazzHR or other systems, including candidate notes, disposition status, and hiring manager feedback.
- Update and maintain the recruiter activity log to support pipeline visibility and reporting.
- Follow established recruiting workflows and SOPs; surface suggestions for improvement through the appropriate channel.
- Ensure all recruiting activity complies with applicable employment laws and equal opportunity requirements.
- Ability to manage high-volume recruiting across multiple locations without sacrificing attention to detail or candidate experience.
- Comfortable sourcing for skilled trades and field roles, including familiarity with trade schools, apprenticeship pipelines, and industry-specific channels.
- Clear communicator — able to build rapport with field leaders and candidates at all levels.
- Organized and self-directed; able to manage competing priorities and keep requisitions moving without close supervision.
- Proficient in ATS platforms and standard recruiting tools; comfortable working within a defined process.
- High degree of integrity and discretion in handling candidate and compensation information.
- Minimum of two years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, preferably in a high-volume and/or multi-location environment.
- Experience recruiting for trades, construction, or skilled labor roles preferred.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- High school diploma required, degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with occasional travel to off-site locations or community recruiting events.
- Prolonged periods working at a desk and computer; frequent communication via phone, Teams, and email.
- Occasional lifting of office supplies or materials up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to move throughout the office and interact with team members.
