Job Description
The Service Quote Estimator will prepare HVAC service quotes for opportunities created from requisitions created by AFO technicians. This position will create the quote within 24 to 48 hours (gathering all necessary information), submit the quote to the customer, follow up within a week if approval is not received. This position will also ensure "approved" quotes are created in the Sampro system and communicate with the Customer Service Representatives so they can get the work scheduled. The estimators value added time will be added to each quote before being sent to the customer. They will also assist in ordering parts and materials as needed.
This position will be based out of the Air Force One headquarters in Dublin, OH.
Compensation: $80,000 - 90,000+ salary commensurate with experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
5 years of field HVAC service experience preferred. Excel and Word mid-level proficiency and ability to learn operating systems (Sampro, Quote Manager, etc.) is required.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS:
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and successful background check.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or Service Managers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Responsible for receiving, creating, closing, and submitting service quotes for AFO.
- Constant communication with all interested parties (customer, technician, Service Manager), throughout the process.
- Take actions to deal with the results of delays and to determine additional costs, if any.
- Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
- Bringing about optimum utilization of resources- labor, materials and equipment, and ensuring AFO procurement at most cost-effective terms.
- Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
- Coordinate with the service team as needed on sold work.
- Order/expedite in-stock and external materials, equipment, etc. that will be required.
- Brief Service team as to job scope and specifications.
- Performs any other duties that are not specifically mentioned but necessary to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability of assigned projects.

REQUIRED POSITION KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the installation or repair of HVAC systems.
- Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Public Safety and Security - Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
- Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications.
- Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
