Construction Site Gate Guard/Vehicle Escort - Houston Hobby Airport at Blue Chip Services LLC – Houston, Texas

Shifts may vary based on the needs of contractors. On heavier days, shifts will start at 3 AM, while on lighter days, they will begin at 7 AM. Employees are required to be available for a minimum of two shifts per week, which can occur any day from Monday to Saturday.

We are seeking candidates to fill a multi-role position on a construction project at the William P. Hobby Airport. The ideal candidate should be willing to take on various positions. We value flexibility and adaptability, and we believe that this multifaceted approach will strengthen our team and improve the project's outcomes.

Gate Guard Responsibilities:
- Guard entrance gates for restricted areas OUTSIDE of the William P. Hobby Airport.
- You are to closely monitor and verify that each individual coming into the gated area is properly badged and has authorization to be in that area.
- Keep an eye out for irregular or unusual activity that could threaten security measures or create safety hazards.

Vehicle Escort Responsibilities:
- Drive a company vehicle with lights and company logos to escort 18-wheelers, dump trucks, construction personnel, etc. from the gated entry point to their designated work zone on airport grounds.
- Drive safely, follow all airport traffic signs, and be alert at all times watching out for aircraft and other vehicles.

REQUIREMENTS
- MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE (Airport Requirement)
- MUST be in good physical condition with the ability to lift/carry a minimum of 40 pounds, and be able to stand for long periods of time outside in high/low temperatures.
- Ability to obtain a Houston Hobby Airport SIDA Badge. Ability to complete and pass all Houston Hobby Movement Area and Non-Movement Area training requirements.
