SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The Domestic Violence Specialist IV is responsible for providing comprehensive psychosocial assessment, identifying moderate to severe mental health issues, and/or substance abuse issues. Use of advance counseling skills to individuals and/or families that are affected by domestic violence.

**This role is budgeted for a maximum of 8 hours per week.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

Masters' Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Requires knowledge of an advanced type.EXPERIENCE

Over two years, up to and including four years.SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Direct use of a variety of therapeutic skills, individual therapy with adults, social skills assessment and intervention, group counseling experience, experience with mental health and substance abuse.

Requires flexibility with work schedule; may be required to work evening 2 to 3 times per week.

OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS
