Purpose
The Accounting Specialist will be assigned work duties and responsibilities in one of the following business areas (billing, invoicing, invoice submission and invoice resolution of the Accounting department. Specialist will be responsible for performing these work duties and responsibilities in a professional manner.
Specific Duties, Activities and Responsibilities
- Carry out responsibilities according to best in class team procedures within specific deadlines.
- Respond to inquiries timely and accurately.
- Identify and document root cause issues.
- Accurately record time worked each day.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; high school diploma required.
- Two years of professional experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
- Experience using an ERP platform (Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP, Oracle, Business Central) preferred.
- Proficient in Word and Excel

- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Process check requests daily
- Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute accordingly
- Respond to all vendor and operation inquiries
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
- Assist in month end closing
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Assist with other projects as needed
