Job Purpose

Job The warehouse supervisor is responsible for evaluating, designing, and analyzing warehouse solutions in support of new and existing business. Evaluate all aspects and methods of distribution supply chain with the goal of improving efficiency. Ensure accurate handling of inbound and outbound products.

Job Functions
  • Schedule and supervise all shipping and receiving functions related to Shipping and Receiving, forklift operators, and warehouse staff.
  • Improve warehouse work processes through strategic planning in order to create a more efficient fulfilment system.
  • Plan warehouse layouts to maximize inventory controls, facility layout, facility flow, process flow and related data analysis.
  • Evaluate, design, and propose supply chain solutions in support of new and existing business.
  • Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
  • Understand and enforce food safety guidelines.
  • Process all in and out bound shipments including but not limited to sorting, logging, delivering, packing, and shipping. Audit each shipment prior to packing to ensure that goods match order.
  • Inspect all incoming freight for damage, follow-up with purchasing to resolve any damaged freight issues.
  • Train the trainer certified to test and certify all forklift drivers for the company.
  • Lead special projects critical to warehouse support functions.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Skills:
  • Team Player
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of ERP, WM, and written.
  • Ability to communicate with different levels of workforce.
