About This Position
Job Summary:
Enhances patient and service line outcomes by supporting performance improvement activities. Responsible for systematic approach to collecting, aggregating, and analyzing data to support decision-making for the service lines. Collaborates with Hospital and service line directors, managers, staff, and teams to generate information to support decision making. Designs reports that communicate data performance effectively. Performs clerical department functions, plans and organizes displays, and designs departmental communication materials. Participates in organizing meetings and taking minutes. Demonstrates the ability to be a team member. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs. Reports directly to the Radiology Director.
Performance Expectations:
- Consistently and accurately collects, aggregates, and reports data to support decision making to managers and teams
- Identifies patterns and trends in data by analyzing multiple sources of feedback from various databases to assist others in analyzing and interpreting performance improvement information
- Consistently provides quality customer service to staff at all levels across FGH by promptly assisting them in a timely manner when they need to obtain information from the hospital’s database systems
- Consistently communicates effectively and expresses ideas clearly using good listening, verbal, non-verbal, and written skills to ensure internal customers have their needs met
- Effectively performs all clerical and secretarial needs as required
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
High school diploma required. Two years college minimum. Extensive work experience may substitute for some collegiate studies.
Work Experience:
Must have a working knowledge and experience of data processing systems and data analysis.
Organization ability and strong communication skills are required.
Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE
- Notary of Public Certification
Mental Demands:
Exceptional oral and written skills are required to relate effectively to Hospital and medical staff. The individual must have the ability to type and be familiar with the rules of spelling, grammar, and punctuation. The individual must have the ability to use a copier, telephone, personal computer, and calculator. Working knowledge of medical terminology is necessary.
The individual must be a very creative individual with a high energy level and be capable of handling pressure situations both mentally and physically. The ability to perform repetitive tasks, cooperate with others, follow directions precisely, and demonstrate initiative is required. The individual must be able to prioritize and meet project deadlines, have good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to maintain rapport.
