About This Position
The Manager of Performance Improvement (PI) performs under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of Quality Operations. Roles and responsibilities include the coordination of all performance improvement activities rolling up to the Performance Improvement Coordinating Group and hospital programs associated with publicly reported data to include Leapfrog and similar public facing data sets. The PI manager uses surveillance, data collection, data trending, and data analysis for the development of performance improvement activities and to collaborate with all stakeholders on those activites across the organization. Additional responsibilities include the review of and development of policies relevant to PI opportunities. This leader organizes and leads committees and may be responsiblie for implementation of standards as appropriate and/or delegated with respect to subject matter expertise and responsibilities. Collaborates with clinical and non-clinical leaders and managers to implement best practice workflows and control measures. Requires the promotion and adherence to the organization’s established Compliance Program and Standards of Conduct. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs. Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Quality Operations.

Qualifications:
Education/Skills
Masters degree in Business or Healthcare related field.
Work Experience:
An individual with previous experience in healthcare and/or program management. This person should possess a broad knowledge base and/or job experience in areas related to the application of healthcare data. Effective decision-making and communication skills are required. Minimum of one year hospital experience in an acute care hospital.
