Nurse Tech at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Willis Knighton North's Critical Care Unit is a twenty-bed, cardiovascular ICU, that cares for critically ill adults. We are currently seeking a full-time Nursing Technician to provide quality and compassionate care to our patients in coordination with the rest of the health care team. Your job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: serving meals, bathing patients, hygiene care needs, ambulation assistance, patient transportation, obtaining equipment or supplies from other areas within the hospital, responding to the call bell for the patients' various needs, and answering the phones at the nurses' station. Excellent customer service would be needed for the interactions with the patients and visitors, receiving calls over the patient intercom, and answering telephones to receive and relay messages. The nursing assistant would also be required to obtain telemetry training so they can aid in monitoring the centralized monitors at the nurse's station.
