Director of Clinical Education and IDT Excellence

REMOTE

The Director of Clinical Education and IDT Excellence is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving interdisciplinary training and readiness programs that support safe, compliant, high-quality participant care across the PACE model. This role combines expertise in adult learning, EMR training, interdisciplinary education, regulatory readiness, and performance improvement.

The person in this role leads development of training experiences for all IDT team members, supports preceptor oversight across disciplines, tracks and trends training completion and learning needs, and partners with leadership to address survey findings, audit opportunities, workflow gaps, and care delivery risks through targeted education. This position plays a key role in strengthening staff readiness, documentation quality, critical thinking, and consistent interdisciplinary practice across settings.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Design & Delivery

Design, develop, implement, and maintain engaging training programs for BoldAge PACE interdisciplinary team members across multiple disciplines and job roles.Create learning experiences that support critical thinking, practical application, and role-based decision-making in the PACE environment.Develop and maintain education for the following core topics:Foundations of the PACE ModelDocumentation Excellence in PACE in CareHub EMRRisk Identification & Intervention DecisionsBehavioral Health & Dementia CareRegulatory & Audit ReadinessIDT Operations & Decision-MakingService Determination Requests (SDRs), Grievances & AppealsCare Across Settings (Home, Center, Hospital, SNF)Medication Management in PACEMobility, Falls, and Functional Decline
Participant Experience & Customer ServiceTransitions, Disenrollment & End-of-LifeClinical skill review via LippincottPartner with operational, clinical, quality, and center leadership to identify learning needs and align training priorities with organizational goals.Create education plans and reinforcement strategies in response to survey results, audit findings, documentation trends, compliance concerns, and operational performance gaps.Lead or coordinate EMR-related training with emphasis on documentation quality, workflow accuracy, interdisciplinary communication, and participant-centered care planning.Support teams in understanding how documentation reflects assessment, interventions, team decisions, participant risk, and regulatory expectations.Oversee the preceptor structure for IDT roles, including expectations, support, consistency, and role readiness processes.Collaborate with local leaders and preceptors to strengthen onboarding, transition support, and ongoing development for new and existing staff.Track, monitor, and trend training completion, training gaps, role readiness needs, and reinforcement opportunities.Maintain organized systems for training assignments, completion data, participation tracking, and follow-up actions.Provide leadership with regular updates, summaries, and recommendations related to training completion, trends, barriers, and education priorities.Evaluate effectiveness of training programs and revise content based on feedback, observed needs, audit findings, and operational changes.Facilitate live, virtual, recorded, and blended learning experiences as needed.Promote a culture of interdisciplinary collaboration, learning accountability, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.Supervisory Responsibilities

May provide oversight, structure, and guidance for preceptors supporting IDT roles.May coordinate training-related responsibilities across subject matter experts, department leaders, and local site-based trainers.Does not typically have direct people management responsibility unless otherwise assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Required:

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, nursing, education, health administration, social work, therapy, organizational development, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Experience designing and delivering adult learning programs for healthcare staff.Experience creating training to address survey findings, audit findings, documentation concerns, or quality/performance gaps.Experience training staff on EMR workflows and documentation expectations.Demonstrated ability to lead education across multiple disciplines, job roles, and experience levels.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Experience interacting with leadership teams and translating identified needs into actionable education plans.Strong facilitation, presentation, written communication, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, stakeholders, and projects simultaneously.Preferred:

Experience in PACE, geriatrics, managed care, home-based care, post-acute care, or other interdisciplinary healthcare models.Experience supporting or overseeing preceptor programs, onboarding programs, or competency-readiness structures.Experience with CareHub EMR or similar electronic medical record systems.Experience using Lippincott or similar clinical education platforms.Clinical licensure or prior clinical practice experience preferred.Experience in compliance education, quality improvement, or operational training is strongly preferred.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:  

Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and the minimum state required liability auto insurance.Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up to date before engaging in direct participant contact.Employment with BoldAge PACE is contingent upon successful completion of post-offer pre-employment screening and verification processes.
