Position SummaryThe Purchasing Coordinator supports project operations by managing the material ordering process from field request through vendor release. This position acts as the communication bridge between field teams, warehouse staff, vendors, and project managers to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective procurement of materials.

This role is process-driven and detail-oriented. Success in this position requires organization, follow-through, and strong communication skills while working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Essential ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the material purchasing process from field request through vendor order

Work with field teams, warehouse staff, vendors, and Project Managers to ensure accurate and timely procurement

Verify stock availability and obtain vendor pricing for non-stock materials

Prepare and process purchase orders in SAGE after approval

Track order status, backorders, and delivery timelines

Maintain organized documentation and communicate updates to project teams

Assist in resolving material discrepancies and delivery issues

Qualifications2+ years administrative, purchasing, or construction office experience preferred

Experience in construction or electrical industry strongly preferred

ERP experience (SAGE preferred)

Strong organizational and multitasking ability

Detail-oriented with high accuracy in data entry

Clear written and verbal communication skills

Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and general computer systems

Preferred SkillsUnderstanding of construction materials or electrical components

Vendor coordination or quoting experience

Inventory or warehouse coordination experience

Ability to read material lists and job specifications
