MCH Agency Nurse - Emergency Care - Full Time - $60/hr in Scottsville, Kentucky at Med Center Health

The MCH Agency Nurse – Emergency Care is responsible for the delivery of professional nursing care to patients in emergency care settings, including assessment, implementation, coordination, teaching, consultation, and evaluation of patient care. Provides safe, high-quality nursing care to patients across the lifespan presenting with a broad range of emergent, urgent, and non-urgent conditions. Utilizes emergency nursing knowledge, clinical judgment, and critical thinking to rapidly assess patient needs, establish priorities, initiate appropriate interventions, and respond to changes in patient condition.

As a member of the MCH Agency, the registered nurse provides staffing support based on organizational and patient care needs and may be required to float between hospital-based Emergency Departments and Freestanding Emergency Departments. The nurse must demonstrate the competency, flexibility, and adaptability necessary to function effectively in varying emergency care environments. On assigned shifts, may be responsible for the coordination and completion of work assignments for LPNs, Nurse Assistants, Unit Clerks, and other assigned support staff.

Minimum Qualifications

• One year of recent registered nurse experience in an Emergency Department or comparable emergency care setting required.
• Additional Emergency Department or emergency care nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working in multiple emergency care environments, including hospital-based and/or Freestanding Emergency Departments, preferred.
• Previous float pool, internal agency, travel nursing, or similar experience requiring adaptation to different clinical environments preferred.
• Graduate of a school of nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.
• Current Kentucky RN license or RN license in a state recognized by the Kentucky Nurse Licensure Compact Act required.
