Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Employment Intake Specialist (Wage & Hour) to join our growing team. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for potential employment clients and play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and converting high-value wage and hour claims. The role involves engaging directly with prospective clients, gathering key facts, assessing case viability, and guiding individuals through the intake and onboarding process. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of employment law, particularly wage and hour matters, along with excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed intake interviews for wage and hour matters including unpaid wages, meal and rest break violations, overtime misclassification, and wrongful termination
- Evaluate case viability by identifying employer size, pay structure, time records, and potential class or PAGA exposure
- Gather supporting documentation including pay stubs, schedules, employment agreements, and termination records
- Identify red flags and escalation matters for attorney review
- Explain contingency structures and litigation timelines specific to employment law
- Convert qualified leads into signed clients using strong consultative sales techniques
- Coordinate seamlessly with employment attorneys and case teams for smooth onboarding
- 3–5 years of employment law intake experience, specifically wage and hour matters (required)
- Strong understanding of California wage and hour laws, including overtime, meal and rest period violations, and employee classification issues
- Experience evaluating both individual and potential class or representative claims
- Proven client conversion experience in a legal intake or employment-focused environment
- Bilingual in Spanish (required)
- This is an on-site position; remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available
Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 + Commission
