Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital – Clinton, Missouri

The Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) is responsible for the validation, inspection, calibration, repair and maintenance of medical/clinical equipment for completeness, mechanical and electrical safety while training others in the proper operation per regulatory standards. Due to the nature of the work, performs in a highly independent manner, working within the broad scope of established department policies, procedures and goals (e.g., Medical Equipment Management Plan SAF-002 - MEMP). Works closely with clinical staff and Materials Management personnel to obtain parts, supplies and equipment. Demonstrates meticulous documentation, analytic and problem-solving skills. Reports to the Biomedical Engineering Manager.

Required:
Three months to one year of experience OR one year of experience working in a hospital environment, with BMET certificate completed within 6 months of hire
Associate's degree in biomedical engineering or electronics preferred
