Currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Obstetric Care Unit (OCU) for the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF). Position will require flexibility with scheduling with rotating day and night shifts. Federal contracting position with Indian Health Services Requirements:1. Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by applicant.2. Three (3) years nursing experience with minimum 1 year experience within OCU3. A current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States, throughout the term of this contract.4. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), Fetal Monitoring Certification Required Duties:1. RN will provide full range of Obstetrical and newborn infant care to patients admitted to Obstetric Care Unit (OCU).2. RN will exercise knowledge of the nursing process and its application to clinical practice in order to provide individualized, goal-oriented nursing care to the laboring, postpartum, antepartum and newborn patients.3. RN will exercise knowledge of scientific and psychosocial nursing theory, principles, spiritual, and social-cultural needs of the Indian patient.4. RN will exercise knowledge of biological aspects of disease processes and illness relating to Obstetrical and newborn infants and is able to recognize complications and implement appropriate nursing/therapeutic intervention required.5. RN will exercise knowledge of the medications and dosages in order to recognize their desired effects, side-effects, and complications of their use.6. RN will analyze the results of various medical procedures and translate them into appropriate nursing interventions7.
