Job Summary

The Inpatient Director of Pharmacy position is responsible for implementing departmental policies relevant to the operation of Inpatient Pharmacy Departments, for assisting in planning and implementing new concepts in drug distribution and control in accordance with established hospital policy and accepted standards of proper pharmacy practice.

Qualifications

Education

• Required
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Preferred
  • Doctorate degree in Pharmacy

Experience:

• Required
  • Five years of experience in a comparable setting

Certification/Licensure:

• Required
  • Texas Registered Pharmacist License in good standing
• Preferred
  • Board Certification Pharmacotherapy Specialists (BCPS)
