The candidate will have opportunities to interact with collaborators from other academic institutions, state, and federal agencies. The candidate will also be expected to assist in the training and mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students, assisting with the preparation of project reports, and disseminating results in journal publications and conferences. - a Ph.D. degree in environmental chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, polymer engineering, or related fields;
- experience in using analytical instruments (IC, UPLC, GC/MS/MS and Q-TOF-MS);
- experience in material synthesis, surface functionalization, and characterization (FT-IR, XPS, TEM);
- a strong track record of refereed journal publications; and
- the ability to work independently and communicate proactively.
- The individual must be highly motivated with strong written and oral communication skills.
