Location: West Philadelphia – Parkside Avenue
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
This is an on-site position. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Dunbar Wellness Group's West Philadelphia/Parkside office and consistently maintain the required work schedule.
Position SummaryDunbar Wellness Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly organized Human Resources Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department.
This position will work directly with the Senior Human Resources Generalist and will provide hands-on support with full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, ADP administration, credentialing, compliance, personnel records, training requirements, and general HR operations.
This is not an entry-level HR position. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of relevant Human Resources experience, previous experience supporting the full recruitment cycle, and experience using ADP from the administrative/employer side.
Because Dunbar operates within behavioral healthcare, candidates should also have experience with employee credentialing and compliance requirements. Previous experience or familiarity with Community Behavioral Health (CBH) requirements is strongly preferred.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage and support full-cycle recruiting, including posting positions, reviewing applicants, conducting candidate outreach, coordinating and scheduling interviews, communicating with hiring managers, preparing offers, and facilitating pre-employment/onboarding activities.
Assist with new-hire onboarding and orientation for employees and contractors.
Use ADP Workforce Now from the administrative side to assist with onboarding, employee records, documentation, reporting, and other HR functions.
Maintain and audit employee and contractor personnel/credentialing files.
Track required credentials, clearances, licenses, certifications, trainings, and expiration dates.
Follow up with staff regarding missing, incomplete, or expiring credentialing/compliance requirements.
Assist with ensuring personnel files meet Dunbar's internal and applicable external compliance requirements.
Maintain HR trackers, spreadsheets, employee records, and recruitment documentation.
Assist with employment verification and professional reference requirements.
Prepare HR correspondence, notices, forms, and other documentation.
Support employee training and orientation coordination.
Respond professionally to routine employee and applicant questions and appropriately escalate HR matters when necessary.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee, applicant, and organizational information.
Provide additional administrative and HR support as needed.
Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience.
Demonstrated experience with full-cycle recruiting.
Previous experience using ADP in an employer/administrator capacity.
Experience maintaining employee credentials, compliance documentation, and personnel files.
Strong understanding of HR administrative processes and employee onboarding.
Excellent organization and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and consistent attendance.
Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive employee information.
Must be able to reliably commute to the Parkside Avenue office in West Philadelphia.
Must be available to consistently work the position's full on-site schedule.
Previous experience working in behavioral health, mental health, healthcare, or a similarly regulated environment.
Previous experience working with or knowledge of Community Behavioral Health (CBH) requirements.
Familiarity with behavioral-health employee/contractor credentialing requirements.
Experience supporting compliance audits and personnel-file reviews.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now specifically.

This person should be comfortable working in a fast-paced HR environment where recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, compliance, and employee needs are being managed simultaneously.
We are specifically looking for someone who already understands the fundamentals of HR and can come into the role with practical experience, while learning Dunbar's specific policies, procedures, and behavioral-health requirements.
