This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director, Global Marketing, Downstream based in the United States.
The Senior Director, Global Marketing, Downstream will lead global downstream marketing strategy for a growing medical aesthetics portfolio in a highly competitive market. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this role will develop differentiated go-to-market strategies, commercialization plans, and integrated campaigns designed to increase awareness, demand, customer engagement, and revenue. You will oversee brand positioning across digital and non-digital channels while supporting distributors, subsidiaries, and commercial teams worldwide. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, data-driven decision-making, and close collaboration across functions. You will also shape customer education, sales enablement, and product storytelling while bringing market and field insights into strategic planning. This position includes leadership of a team and approximately 25% travel.
- Develop and execute global go-to-market strategies and marketing programs aligned with commercial plans, business objectives, and market-share growth.
- Lead commercialization strategies for new and existing products, ensuring differentiated value propositions and messaging support broader brand objectives.
- Develop downstream marketing initiatives for targeted customer audiences, including branded digital, social, print, and other integrated campaigns.
- Establish streamlined processes for supporting distributors and subsidiaries with compliant, consistent, and brand-aligned product positioning and messaging across global markets.
- Manage the downstream marketing budget, monitor return on investment, evaluate KPIs, and optimize spending across digital and traditional channels.
- Partner with upstream marketing and cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products, offerings, and marketing programs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop customer training programs, medical education initiatives, and supporting content and resources.
- Create sales enablement programs and tools that support customer acquisition, engagement, conversion, and retention.
- Lead the product’s digital presence and identify new channels, tactics, and strategies to strengthen brand awareness and demand generation.
- Monitor brand performance, conduct market research and analysis, and translate insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Serve as a product champion, building internal and external enthusiasm and strengthening engagement across the aesthetics community.
- Develop customer relationships and incorporate field intelligence and market insights into messaging, segmentation, and strategic operating plans.
- Provide marketing thought leadership and remain current on medical aesthetics trends through field engagement, market research, advisory boards, industry congresses, and professional associations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 3–5 marketing professionals while managing external resources and partners.
Requirements:
- 5–7 years of marketing experience with a demonstrated track record of growth and success in the medical aesthetic device industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline; MBA preferred.
- Strong experience in brand marketing and product marketing, with the ability to translate strategy into effective commercialization programs.
- Experience developing and executing omnichannel marketing strategies, including strong digital marketing knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams, agencies, vendors, and other external resources.
- Experience across both B2B and B2C marketing environments.
- Ability to move comfortably between strategic planning and hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to translate metrics, market intelligence, and customer insights into actionable decisions.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize competing demands, and consistently deliver against tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and organizational levels.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Creative, proactive, collaborative, and hands-on approach with a positive attitude and strong team orientation.
- Independent learner with flexibility and adaptability in a changing market environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.
