About The Role
The Hybrid Practice Development Manager (PDM) is a field-based, full-time rep responsible for both capital sales and practice development. You will be responsible for closing new placements for AuraLux in your territory and then staying invested in making those accounts successful long after the deal closes.
If you have a background in aesthetic device sales and have always wished you could stay more connected to your accounts after the sale, or if you are on the practice development side and are ready to take on a commercial role with real revenue ownership, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Own and manage a defined NYC-area territory, developing and executing a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed revenue and growth targets for aesthetic products and services.
- Conduct consultative sales calls and in-person meetings with aesthetic physicians, practice managers, and key decision-makers to understand their needs and position appropriate solutions.
- Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities within medical aesthetics, including dermatology, plastic surgery, med spas, and related practices.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers, driving account expansion, product utilization, and practice loyalty.
- Deliver compelling product presentations, demonstrations, and educational sessions tailored to aesthetic practices and patient demographics in the NYC market.
- Collaborate with internal teams (PDM leadership, marketing, training, and operations) to align territory strategy, promotional activities, and customer support initiatives.
- Track, analyze, and report on territory performance, pipeline, and key metrics using CRM tools and sales dashboards to inform strategy and improve forecasting.
- Stay current on competitive offerings, aesthetic market trends, pricing dynamics, and regulatory considerations, and translate insights into actionable territory tactics.
- Support practice development efforts such as in-office events, staff training, and promotional campaigns to help customers grow patient volume and treatment adoption.
- Represent the company and the PDM team at regional events, trade shows, and professional meetings within the NYC aesthetic community, as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in aesthetic sales or closely related medical sales (e.g., injectables, devices, skincare, or other aesthetic products), with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of the aesthetic industry, including typical practice workflows, patient journeys, and common treatment offerings (e.g., dermatology, plastic surgery, med spa environments).
- Demonstrated success in territory management and business development within a competitive, quota-driven environment.
- Exceptional consultative selling skills, with the ability to uncover practice needs, articulate value, and negotiate and close complex deals.
- Excellent relationship-building and account management skills, with the ability to influence a range of stakeholders, including physicians, practice managers, and clinical staff.
- Comfort and professionalism in conducting in-person meetings, product demonstrations, and educational sessions in clinical and office settings.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, including experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools to manage pipeline and territory performance.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in the field while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences in the NYC market.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the NYC area and surrounding region, including occasional evening or weekend events as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant sales experience in aesthetics.
