This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Learning and Development Lead based in the United States.
This is a remote, pro-bono leadership opportunity for a learning and development professional who is passionate about building engaging training experiences that empower volunteers to make a meaningful social impact. In this role, you will design, implement, and continuously improve learning programs that strengthen organizational effectiveness and volunteer engagement. Working closely with Human Capital and cross-functional leaders, you will identify training needs, develop scalable learning resources, and establish effective onboarding and development initiatives. Your work will directly support a collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on creating lasting educational opportunities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building learning frameworks, driving continuous improvement, and enabling teams to succeed through knowledge sharing.
- Design, develop, and maintain training materials, guides, and learning resources for volunteers across multiple organizational functions.
- Assess organizational learning needs and recommend training initiatives that improve volunteer performance and operational effectiveness.
- Develop and deliver onboarding programs to ensure new volunteers successfully integrate into the organization.
- Partner with Human Capital and operational leaders to create role-specific learning solutions and support evolving training needs.
- Implement evaluation methods to measure training effectiveness, analyze outcomes, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Manage learning and development projects from planning through implementation while ensuring quality and consistency.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning by identifying opportunities to enhance knowledge sharing and volunteer development.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources with a focus on Learning & Development, Training, or Talent Development.
- Experience designing, developing, and delivering virtual training programs and learning initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage learning projects from needs assessment through implementation and evaluation.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Creative, resourceful, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Reliable, accountable, and committed to delivering high-quality results in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting while effectively partnering with cross-functional teams.
