Phoenix Flavors & Fragrances, a Turpaz company, is seeking a Compounder for our Norwood, NJ location. This position will be in our warehouse ensuring all compounding runs smoothly.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience in the flavors and fragrances industry or a related manufacturing environment is preferred.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Engage in day-to-day blending, mixing, and preparing batches by written specifications/procedures to ensure maximum output at optimum efficiency and comply with government regulations, cGMP practices, company policies, and customer specifications.Prepare and process batches by established specifications and procedures. This includes Cleaning and sanitizing all required chemical processing equipment, pipes, pumps, and tanks—staging and transferring chemical raw materials, preparing and operating chemical compounding equipment, and transferring batches.Follow written procedures to ensure that all documentation, records, and logbooks are accurately completed and in accordance with GMP.Maintain a working knowledge of compliance with hazardous material handling and personal protective equipment requirements.Operate forklift according to safe operating rules at all times.Operate and troubleshoot chemical processing equipment such as mixers, pumps, and scales—request equipment maintenance as needed.Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.Minimum of 2 years experience as a Compounder.Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.Must be flexible in dealing with others in the organization and with work assignments/projects.Self-organized, Self-motivated.Ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements:

Using hands and arms together to move various items.Ability to stand for prolonged periods.Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
