Avports is seeking a Finance & Administrative Manager to serve as the principal financial and administrative leader at Republic Airport (FRG), one of New York's premier general aviation airports.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys combining finance, administration, payroll coordination, human resources support, and team leadership in a dynamic airport environment.About the RoleReporting directly to the Airport Manager, the Finance & Administrative Manager is responsible for leading the airport's accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, purchasing, administrative operations, payroll coordination, and human resources administration functions. This position plays a key role in ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and effective workforce administration for both union and non-union employees.You will work closely with airport leadership, Corporate Finance, Corporate Human Resources, NYSDOT, tenants, vendors, auditors, and labor representatives to support the continued success of Republic Airport.What You'll DoFinance & Accounting

- Lead all airport accounting activities, including general ledger management, account reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reportingPrepare annual budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and financial presentationsOversee tenant billing, accounts receivable, collections, and cash management activitiesMaintain strong internal controls and financial accountabilityCoordinate internal and external auditsPrepare reports and analyses required by airport management, NYSDOT, and corporate leadership
- Manage administrative operations and office support functionsAdminister purchasing and procurement processesMaintain contracts, vendor records, and business documentationCoordinate departmental systems, technology, and office resourcesSupport airport projects, capital planning, and operational initiatives
- Coordinate onboarding, orientation, training compliance, and employee recordkeepingSupport payroll administration, timekeeping review, leave tracking, and personnel changesAssist with employee relations, investigations, and policy administrationSupport workforce administration in a multi-union environmentMaintain confidential personnel, payroll, and labor-relations records
- Supervise accounting and administrative personnelEstablish priorities, monitor performance, and promote accountabilityBuild strong working relationships with employees, tenants, vendors, auditors, and stakeholdersSupport business continuity and emergency-response activities as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related fieldFive (5) or more years of progressively responsible accounting, finance, or business administration experienceTwo (2) or more years of supervisory or management experienceExperience with:
- General ledger accounting
- Financial statement preparation
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Account reconciliations
- Accounts receivable and billing
- Internal controls and audit support
- Month-end and year-end close processes
- Experience in airports, aviation, transportation, public-sector, infrastructure, or other regulated environmentsExperience supporting payroll, human resources, and administrative operationsExperience working in a unionized workforce environmentExperience with ERP, accounting, payroll, or HRIS systemsCPA, CMA, SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar professional certification
