Job Description
The Coordinator, IT plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day technology operations of The Commit Partnership by helping ensure IT requests, user access, system data, and active projects are organized and moving forward. This position will focus on IT help desk coordination, user access and licensing administration, system and data maintenance, project support, documentation, and information management.
Reporting to the Manager of IT Systems & Operations, the IT Coordinator partners closely with the Manager, IT Consultant, and colleagues across the organization to provide responsive and reliable technology support. The Coordinator will help manage incoming support requests, gather information needed to troubleshoot or escalate issues, process approved system access changes, maintain accurate records, and provide administrative support for IT projects and systems.
This is an entry-level role designed for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and eager to learn. Prior professional IT experience is not required. The role offers an opportunity to build practical experience with IT support, Microsoft 365, ticketing systems, user access administration, information management, and IT project coordination while learning alongside experienced technology professionals.
The role also provides occasional front desk backup coverage for Operations as needed.

This is a part-time position scheduled for 30 hours per week. The pay range for this role is $20–$23 per hour.
Requirements:Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- IT Help Desk and User Support
- Support the IT ticket queue by logging, categorizing, and maintaining accurate records of incoming requests.
- Gather relevant information from users to understand technology issues and support efficient troubleshooting or escalation.
- Assist with basic troubleshooting using established processes, documentation, and available resources.
- Keep ticket information accurate and up to date to support follow-through and reporting.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with users about requests, next steps, and status updates.
2. User Access and Systems Administration Support
- Process approved user access, licensing, onboarding, and offboarding tasks across Microsoft 365 and other organizational systems.
- Maintain accurate user, access, and license records.
- Follow established processes for system access and appropriately escalate questions, inconsistencies, or more complex issues.
- Support routine audits and data cleanup to help maintain accurate and reliable system information.
3. IT Project and Systems Support
- Provide administrative and project coordination support for IT initiatives, including Freshservice configuration, service catalog maintenance, knowledge base updates, system documentation, audits, and data cleanup.
- Track assigned tasks and follow established timelines to help projects move forward.
- Organize project information and documentation so that materials are accurate, accessible, and easy for others to use.
- Ask clarifying questions and proactively flag issues or delays that may affect project timelines or quality.
4. SharePoint and Information Management
- Assist with SharePoint and departmental information-management projects.
- Support file organization, archiving, naming standardization, document migration, and other structured data or systems projects.
- Follow established organizational and information-management practices to maintain consistent, accessible records.
- Identify inconsistencies or gaps in records and escalate them appropriately.
5. Cross-Department and Operations Support
- Work collaboratively with staff across departments to gather information, respond to routine technology needs, and connect colleagues with the appropriate resources.
- Provide occasional front desk backup coverage for Operations, including greeting visitors, directing phone calls, and responding to general inquiries.
- Maintain discretion when working with internal systems, organizational information, and user access.
- Follow established processes and communicate questions, risks, or errors promptly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No prior professional IT experience required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow established processes and complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.
- Ability to learn new technology, systems, and processes.
- Ability to gather relevant information, ask clarifying questions, and appropriately escalate issues.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining organization and follow-through.
- Ability to handle organizational information with appropriate discretion.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework, a certificate, or a degree in information technology, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Previous experience in customer service, administrative support, help desk support, or another role requiring organization and responsive service.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with ticketing or workflow-management systems.
- Hands-on experience learning, configuring, troubleshooting, or supporting technology in a professional, educational, volunteer, or personal setting.

Work Environment
This position primarily operates in a professional office environment but may occasionally require duties outside of the typical office setting. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate. The employee is not generally exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
Physical Activity & Requirements
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use repetitive motions of the wrists, hands and/or fingers. This is a sedentary position; however, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, grasp, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and lift up to 10 pounds.
