PATIENT ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE in Grantsburg, Wisconsin at Burnett Medical Center Inc

Burnett Medical Center is currently seeking a Patient Account Representative (Level 1) for our Business Office.

SHIFT & HOURS: Full-time, 8am-4:30pm, M-F

JOB SUMMARY

Processes patient bills and claims to third-party payors. Identifies appropriate billing distributions, monitors outstanding accounts, responds to billing-related inquiries, and assists in preparing billing reports.

This is a benefit-eligible position including PTO, health, dental, vision, employer-paid life and employer-paid short-term disability insurance, along with up to a 3% match in our 401k retirement plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge of billing regulations for Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payors (HMO, PPO, etc.).

Computer proficiency; EPIC EHR experience preferred.

Maintain a professional and positive attitude.

Ability to work independently and with attention to detail.

At least one year of verifiable hospital or clinic billing experience preferred.
