Job Description
Job Summary: Oversee, develop and facilitate culturally competent, comprehensive, and high-quality services. Maintain program standards for regulatory compliance and consumer satisfaction. Ensure that program goals and objectives are achieved.
Responsible for staff supervision, quality assurance and coordination/implementation of services.
Major Activities:- Incorporate best practices regarding confidentiality into all job duties and communications in accordance with Article 27-F, Alliance for Positive Health policies and procedures and other applicable regulations. Observe and abide by the HIV Confidentiality Law.
- Assure best practices in service delivery. Develop and administer strategies to increase engagement in agency services and ensure positive health outcomes for target populations. Adapt and tailor as applicable to designated target population(s). Ensure that the Transtheoretical Model of Behavior Change is incorporated, as applicable, into all aspects of programming.
- Provide supervision on a regular basis to designated staff. Ensure that all staff receive training, timely performance appraisals, and appropriate corrective action when warranted.
- Meet outcomes as required by funding sources.
- Serve as a member of the department leadership team. Participate productively and proactively by identifying gaps in services, client and community trends/issues, training needs of staff/clients and recommending strategies regarding best practice and policy implementation.
- Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with project partners including, Department of Health AIDS Institute and Community Based Organization partners.
- Maintain records of all intervention services, complete documentation and/or statistical data and administer evaluation tools in compliance with reporting/project requirements.
- Supervise up to two staff within the Harm Reduction program. Providing leadership support to other Harm Reduction staff including but not limited to: providing shadowing opportunities to newly onboarded staff, assisting with communication with external stakeholders.
- Reports to direct supervisor with any barriers the team may be facing or needs they may have
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Position will support both Glens Falls and Albany offices and surrounding communities.
- Experience working with targeted populations.
- Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and independent means of transportation for travel to designated program sites, per program needs.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
- Good group facilitation skills, public speaking skills and presentation style
- Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
- Ability to interact, work and communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds within a climate of mutual respect, inclusion, enrichment, and growth
- Attention to detail; well organized; good time management skills
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries within agency and grant guidelines, as well as with clients and external service providers
Employment Classifications: Full-time, Non-exempt, 37.5 hours per week; flexibility in hours required to meet program requirements.
