Job Description

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm

As a Finance Collections Specialist at Alsana, you'll play a key role in supporting our clients by managing insurance collections, billing activities, and reimbursement processes while partnering with Admissions, Utilization Management, and other interdisciplinary teams to help ensure a seamless financial experience throughout treatment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage insurance and third-party payer collections.
• Submit insurance claims and ensure accurate billing.
• Review insurance payments and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Post payments, adjustments, and refunds within the billing system.
• Maintain accurate account documentation and follow-up activities.
• Review insurance correspondence and resolve account issues.
• Verify revenue codes and insurance coverage.
• Assist the Utilization Management team with insurance approvals as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support timely reimbursement and client financial responsibility.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in healthcare or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in medical billing, insurance collections, or healthcare accounts receivable required.
• Working knowledge of commercial insurance, government payers, and managed care contracts required.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
