Purchasing and Receiving Clerk (Temporary)
Status: Full Time, Temp
Hourly Rate: $25
Location: Moriarty, NM

About the Position:
Sceye is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing and Receiving Clerk (Temporary) to support procurement, receiving, and inventory activities at our Moriarty, New Mexico facility. This role is responsible for processing purchase orders, receiving incoming shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials are available to support operational needs.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities, and committed to maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes, confirm orders, and track delivery schedules.
- Physically Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Maintain accurate receiving records and ensure timely entry of inventory transactions.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding material availability, order status, and delivery timelines.
- Organize and maintain purchasing and receiving documentation, records, and files.
- Resolve discrepancies related to shipments, invoices, damaged goods, or order quantities.
- Support the procurement and operations teams with administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in business, supply chain, procurement, or related field is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in purchasing, receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or administrative support preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with purchasing, inventory, ERP, or warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping and data entry.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative approach.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods while performing receiving and inventory-related duties.
- Ability to work in a warehouse and office environment.
