We’re the largest privately held spine company and among the largest family-owned medical technology companies in the world, dedicated to innovation, surgeon partnerships, and improving patient outcomes in spine care. As a Senior Field Inventory Coordinator in our Field Operations function within the Spine division, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end field inventory management across assigned territories — ensuring accuracy, compliance, audit readiness, and optimal inventory availability to support surgical success.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan, execute, and manage cycle counts and internal inventory cycling across hospitals, branch/hub locations, and office sites in alignment with the inventory roadmap
- Compile, analyze, and maintain accurate inventory data from various sources using inventory systems, tracking tools, and task platforms
- Verify inventory accuracy by reconciling physical counts with system records; investigate discrepancies, determine root causes, and perform adjustments
- Own end-to-end expired inventory resolution — including identification, segregation, disposition, and full system/physical closure
- Manage Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processing from initiation through physical return, system closure, and reconciliation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inventory-related communication with Sales and field partners, resolving issues and escalating as needed
- Dispose of damaged, defective, or nonconforming inventory per procedures and regulatory requirements
- Pack, unpack, receive, count, store, issue, and distribute inventory while maintaining proper storage, labeling, and organization
- Collaborate with Commercial Operations and Sales to optimize inventory levels, utilization, and deployment across territories
- Conduct financial reviews of CER/DAR requests and support period-end inventory reconciliations and reserve analysis
- Provide guidance on lean inventory practices, continuous improvement, and process optimization; support training of others
- Occasionally perform inventory tasks in hospital or operating room environments
- Travel extensively to hospitals, branches, hubs, and other facilities to support counts, RMAs, audits, and cross-location activities
What You Bring:
- High School diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of relevant experience in inventory management, cycle counting, field operations, or supply chain (medical device experience preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Strong knowledge of inventory tracking, counting principles, controls, and storage/movement methods
- Excellent data integrity, analysis, and reconciliation skills (including Excel proficiency with pivot tables and queries)
- Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively (phone, email, in-person)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, and ERP systems
- Ability to teach and train others on inventory best practices
- Strong analytical skills with preference for financial acumen related to inventory valuations
- Effective problem-solving skills and the physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
