About the Role:

Responsible for all outside yard and maintenance duties, removing containers from paint shop, stacking containers, loading trucks, some welding, and helping prep containers before they are painted.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Assist Lead Yardman in daily job duties
• Remove all containers from shop that were painted the shift before.
• Stack all containers that are to be shipped out that day.
• Load all incoming trucks upon arrival.
• Keep outside area of shop (parking lot etc.) clean.
• Clean drying room bay weekly.
• Help sticker containers, while making sure tailgate hinges are greased.
• Help with operation of all machinery in shop (shear, saw, welders etc.).
• Fill in as replacement painter.
• Help prep containers before they are painted.
• Keep a list of all front & rear loader lids.
• Mechanical maintenance on all fork trucks. (Change oil, grease, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Previous Shipping and Receiving experience
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely
• Previous experience in manufacturing setting
