Job Description

Head of Growth

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Growth based in the United States.

This is a high-impact growth leadership role for an experienced operator who wants direct ownership of a fast-growing consumer brand’s acquisition engine. You will define growth strategy, manage performance channels, run experiments, and make data-driven decisions that directly influence profitable revenue. The role is highly hands-on, with significant time spent working directly inside advertising platforms, analyzing performance, and optimizing campaigns and funnels. You will also collaborate with engineering, design, and creative teams to accelerate experimentation and execution. Approximately 80% of your focus will be dedicated to the core business, with the remaining time spent on targeted growth initiatives across a broader portfolio of companies. This environment is ideal for someone who combines performance marketing expertise, technical fluency, commercial judgment, and a strong bias toward action.

Accountabilities
  • Own the complete growth engine, including growth strategy, prioritization, channel mix, experimentation, budget allocation, and overall performance outcomes.
  • Manage paid acquisition end-to-end across Google Ads and Meta Ads, including daily platform execution, campaign optimization, budget management, and performance analysis.
  • Expand and optimize acquisition through additional channels such as Connected TV and broadcast advertising.
  • Design and manage a high-cadence SKU testing program, identifying winning products and concepts while quickly discontinuing underperforming initiatives.
  • Build and maintain the growth model and reporting infrastructure, connecting acquisition performance to CAC, ROAS, payback periods, contribution margin, and overall profitability.
  • Lead conversion rate optimization across landing pages, funnels, and other customer touchpoints to improve acquisition efficiency and revenue.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and creative teams to rapidly launch landing pages, advertising creative, funnel improvements, and other growth experiments.
  • Leverage AI and automation to accelerate execution, including automated reporting, campaign rules, creative generation, attribution scripts, and other workflow improvements.
  • Spend approximately 20% of the role supporting focused, time-bound growth initiatives across other portfolio businesses, bringing successful learnings and playbooks back to the core business.
  • Codify successful strategies into reusable playbooks, scripts, automation, and processes that can improve growth execution across multiple businesses.
  • Provide concise, evidence-based written updates covering results, key learnings, decisions, and blockers on a consistent reporting cadence.
  • Make clear prioritization and investment decisions using data, experimentation, and first-principles thinking, even when information is incomplete.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in performance marketing, growth marketing, or a closely related discipline.
  • Deep, current, hands-on experience managing Google Ads and Meta Ads at meaningful scale.
  • Demonstrated success scaling DTC or e-commerce businesses profitably, with a strong understanding of acquisition economics.
  • Proven experience with SKU testing, landing page optimization, conversion rate optimization, and performance experimentation.
  • Strong understanding of unit economics, including CAC, ROAS, contribution margin, profitability, and payback periods.
  • Technical fluency and experience using modern growth technology, analytics, automation, and AI tools to improve execution speed and decision-making.
  • Experience with tools such as GA4, automated dashboards, scripting, AI-assisted development, or similar technologies.
  • Strong analytical and first-principles thinking, with the ability to turn data into clear actions and make effective decisions with imperfect information.
  • A hands-on operating mindset, with a willingness to work directly inside advertising platforms rather than managing entirely through external agencies or other operators.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to deliver concise, evidence-based performance updates.
  • High bias toward action, with the ability to launch experiments and improvements in hours or days rather than weeks.
  • Comfortable working independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment while collaborating with cross-functional engineering, design, and creative teams.
  • Willingness to work primarily during U.S. Eastern Time business hours and commit the level of effort required to achieve ambitious growth objectives.
Benefits
  • Base compensation of $160,000–$200,000 USD.
  • Compensation packages may include base salary, equity opportunities, and performance-based bonuses tied to portfolio success.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Unlimited paid time off, with a two-week minimum encouraged.
  • Fully remote work for U.S.-based employees.
  • Opportunity to work across multiple businesses and growth models while maintaining a primary focus on the core brand.
  • Significant autonomy and ownership over growth strategy, experimentation, channel investment, and execution.
  • Exposure to modern AI, automation, analytics, and performance marketing technologies.
  • Opportunity to build reusable growth systems and playbooks that can create impact across a broader portfolio.
  • A high-ownership environment designed for experienced operators who want to move quickly and see a direct connection between their work and business results.
