About the Role:
As a member of the Defined Fitness Play Team, you will be part of a community of difference makers, movers and shakers dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our team members and members. The Play Team Member is responsible for interacting with and ensuring the safety of the children while club members are using the facility. You are responsible for maintaining a safe and fun environment for young children. You are to come up with creative and educational activities, while maintaining a clean environment for the children.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience working with children ages 10 months to 12 years of age
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Valid CPR/AED certification, infant and child, by first day of employment and maintain throughout employment
- Adhere to safety rules/guidelines, including zero tolerance for phone usage, and take necessary precautions to ensure safety of children in the Kids Club
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office and various other products such as ABC Ignite
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with children during play activities to ensure safety and encourage positive interactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the play area, including sanitizing toys and equipment regularly.
- Assist visitors by providing information about play programs, schedules, and facility rules.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and implement creative play sessions and special events.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any safety concerns or incidents, following established protocols.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to eight (8) hours at a time
- Must be able to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform the following tasks: walk, squat, bend, stoop, stand, listen, read, and write
