  • Identify and interpret toxicological health guidance values (e.g., ADIs, RfCs, TTCs, PDEs, MOEs).
  • Calculate quantitative risk metrics including margins of exposure (MOE), margins of safety (MOS), hazard quotients (HQ), and lifetime cancer risk (ELCR), as appropriate.
  • Review and interpret analytical chemistry and toxicology data to determine toxicological significance.
  • Conduct literature reviews and summarize scientific findings from published studies and regulatory sources.
  • Data visualization.
  • Prepare technical reports, regulatory documents, meeting decks, and client deliverables.
  • Assist with regulatory submissions and scientific support for clients.
  • Collaborate with toxicologists, chemists, and project managers to develop scientifically defensible recommendations.
  • Maintain awareness of current scientific literature, regulatory guidance, and emerging toxicological issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in risk assessment, toxicology, regulatory science, or a related scientific field.
  • Basic understanding of human health risk assessment principles, with enthusiasm for developing expertise in quantitative risk assessment, toxicology, and regulatory science.
  • Experience reviewing scientific literature and interpreting technical data.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in preparing technical reports or regulatory documents.
  • Familiarity with toxicological databases and publicly available regulatory resources.
  • Familiarity with human health-related toxicological endpoints (e.g. genotoxicity; carcinogenicity; sensitization; irritation; and respiratory, reproductive, developmental, repeated-dose, and cardiovascular toxicities).
  • Experience performing or interpreting in silico evaluations.
  • Experience interpreting analytical chemistry or toxicology data.
  • Working knowledge of FDA, EPA, or other regulatory guidance.
  • Interest in ingredient and consumer product safety assessments.
  • Proficiency with GraphPad Prism.
