About The Role:

Super Steel is seeking a Quality Clerk / Quality Assistant with hands-on manufacturing quality experience — someone who understands inspection basics, quality terminology, and how production flows in a fabrication environment.

This role blends data entry, documentation, and backlog cleanup with real inspection support on the production floor. It’s ideal for a detail‑oriented candidate who has worked in a manufacturing quality setting and wants to grow into a more technical quality role over time.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inspection Data Entry — Enter inspection results, NCRs, and production records with accuracy and consistency.
  • Quality Documentation — Maintain organized quality logs, spreadsheets, and digital files used for audits and customer requirements.
  • Backlog Reduction — Process outstanding paperwork and digital documentation to clean up historical quality records.
  • Inspection Support — Assist Quality Technicians with basic inspections (dimensional checks, visual inspection, weld symbol recognition).
  • Tool Familiarity — Use calipers, tape measures, weld gauges, and other common inspection tools.
  • Cross‑Functional Communication — Work with welding, fabrication, and assembly teams to gather missing information and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Continuous Improvement — Support improvements to documentation workflows, data accuracy, and quality processes.
  • Growth & Development — Opportunity to expand into deeper inspection, NCR analysis, and quality system responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of hands-on quality experience in manufacturing (inspection, quality support, or similar)
  • Ability to perform basic inspections using calipers, tape measures, weld gauges, etc.
  • Familiarity with quality terminology, weld symbols, or blueprint basics
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to organize large volumes of paperwork and digital files
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced heavy‑manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in metal fabrication, welding environments, or heavy manufacturing
  • Exposure to quality systems, NCR documentation, or inspection reporting
  • Familiarity with production documentation or ISO‑based quality processes
  • ERP/MRP or quality software experience
