Epic Project Manager, Information Services
SUMMARY
An Epic Project Manager oversees the planning, execution and successful implementation of the healthcare software, integration of 3rd party software and leading teams to ensure projects meet deadlines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Planning & Execution:
Develop comprehensive project plans, define project objectives, and oversee the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closing.
- Leadership & Coordination:
Lead and coordinate project teams and stakeholders, assign responsibilities, set deadlines, and ensure clear communication between all parties.
- Resource Management:
Monitor project budgets and resources to ensure projects are completed within constraints.
- Risk & Issue Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues in a timely manner.
- Customer & Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal teams, providing them with support and resources to ensure project success.
- Quality & Compliance:
Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, align with industry best practices, and comply with all relevant regulations.
- Prioritization
Ability to determine which projects take priority to align with business objectives
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Applied Science or healthcare related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of healthcare experience
- Experience in clinical informatics or information technology related projects
- Ability to manage a team, set goals, and develop project team members.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proactive in bringing issues to the senior management team and other leaders, building consensus, and delivering practical solutions.
- Comfortable with presenting to senior management, physicians, and all levels of staff
- Experienced with change management. Decisive, flexible, analytical person and results oriented with the ability and desire to achieve goals quickly.
- Solid knowledge of healthcare technology management, medical device and software interoperability and integration, hardware configuration, design, installation troubleshooting and device and data security.
