We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented EMT to join our transport team in a part-time dual-role Station Assistant and BLS transport position. In this role you will help keep our station running smoothly while also providing BLS care during interfacility and discharge transports. Flexible scheduling available within standard weekday daytime hours.

Pay Rate: $25 per hour
Schedule: Flexible weekday shifts within Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Role and Responsibilities:
The following list contains the daily operations and responsibilities of this position.
· Maintain station cleanliness, organization, and readiness at all times
· Perform daily readiness checks on transport equipment, vehicles, and supplies
· Restock ambulances, medical bags, and station inventory
· Assist with patient loading and unloading with safety always priority
· Provide BLS care during interfacility transports (IFT) and discharge transports
· Monitor and assess the patient's condition throughout the transport
· Document all care provided during transport for medical records accurately and efficiently
· Coordinate and communicate with medical facilities and Dispatch
· Attend morning safety meetings
· Assist with administrative duties including scheduling, filing, and supply ordering
· Assist in onboarding and orienting new hires to station procedures
· Participate in ongoing training and simulation exercises
· Perform light facility maintenance and equipment troubleshooting as needed
· Develop and maintain relationships with facility partners and vendors
· Perform other work-related duties as directed by supervisor or as the situation requires
Qualifications and Skills:
· Current Oregon State EMT certification
· CPR/BLS certification (current)
· Valid driver's license with clean driving record
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
· Familiarity with ambulance transport, medical equipment, and protocols
· Physical fitness to manage the demands of the job
· Preferred 1–3 years' experience in emergency medical services or healthcare setting
· Ability to work in various weather conditions
· Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
· Capability to lift and move patients safely
· Professional demeanor and strong patient-care focus
