About the Role:
The Industrial Millwright plays a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heavy machinery and industrial equipment within manufacturing and production facilities. This position ensures that all mechanical systems operate efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. The Millwright will work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform precise alignments, and install new equipment according to technical specifications. This role demands a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprints, and safety protocols to maintain compliance with industry standards. Ultimately, the Industrial Millwright contributes to the seamless operation of industrial processes by applying expert mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Industrial Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent technical training.
- Proven experience working as an Industrial Millwright or in a similar mechanical maintenance role.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rigging techniques.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites within the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in welding or fabrication.
- Experience with CNC machinery and automated production equipment.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour safety certification.
- Additional technical certifications related to industrial machinery or safety.
Responsibilities:
- Install, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment according to blueprints and technical manuals.
- Perform precise alignment and calibration of machinery using specialized tools and instruments.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and implement effective solutions to minimize equipment downtime.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all phases of work.
- Operate hoisting and rigging equipment to move heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
