Job Summary

The Field Mechanic Tech is responsible for hands-on technical work performed at field locations. They support equipment functionality, ensure safety compliance, and serve as a key contact between the shop and responsible onsite management. This role plays a critical part in extending equipment life, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Install, configure, and upgrade equipment and systems.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, or mechanical issues.
3. Document all service activities, including reports and equipment logs.
4. Manage tools, replacement parts, and supplies for service tasks.
5. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and lock-out/tag-out requirements
6. Operate service trucks and equipment safely on job sites and in shop environments

Work Environment

1. Field-based position
2. Outside in all weather conditions
3. Exposure to grease, oils, noise, and heavy machinery
4. May require overtime, weekends, or on-call support as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

1. High school diploma or GED required
2. Previous as a Field technician, equipment service technician, or similar role preferred
3. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to identify potential maintenance issues
4. Ability to read and follow maintenance schedules and manufacturer guidelines
5. Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus
6. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
7. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor
