Position Overview:
The Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care in an outpatient clinical setting. This position involves conducting comprehensive patient assessments, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members. The Clinic RN also supports patient education, ensures documentation accuracy, and contributes to ongoing quality improvement initiatives. This is a non-exempt position. Compensation is commensurate with education and experience. Hiring compensation range starts at $30.00/hour.

· Compensation: Based on education and experience – range starts at $30.00/hour. Benefits begin the first of the month following 60 days of employment from new hire orientation. This is a non-exempt position.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment and Care:
· Perform comprehensive patient assessments and gather relevant health history.
· Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
· Monitor and record patient vitals and responses to care.
· Educate patients on treatment plans and self-care strategies.
Collaboration with the Healthcare Team:
· Partner with physicians, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care.
· Participate in developing and implementing patient care plans.
· Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to support holistic care.
Clinical Procedures:
· Carry out clinical procedures including wound care, injections, and specimen collection.
· Support minor outpatient procedures.
· Follow infection control and safety protocols consistently.
Patient Advocacy and Support:
· Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences throughout the care process.
· Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
· Connect patients with social services and community resources as needed.
Documentation and Recordkeeping:
· Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
· Ensure all care and interventions are logged in compliance with standards and regulations.
Quality Improvement:
· Engage in quality improvement efforts aimed at enhancing patient care and safety.
· Identify and support initiatives for clinical process improvement.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education:
· Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Experience:
· Previous experience in an outpatient clinic setting is preferred.
Required Registration/License/Certification:
· Current and valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required at time of hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to function effectively in a team-based environment.
· Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and administering care.
· Familiarity with EHR systems.
· Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Physical Demands:
· Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
· Manual dexterity and coordination to perform clinical procedures.
· Physical stamina for patient care activities, including lifting or positioning patients if necessary.
Working Conditions:
· Outpatient clinic environment.
· Exposure to a variety of patient conditions and medical procedures.
· Fast-paced setting with continuous collaboration among healthcare professionals.
