As a Personal Banker II, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service while supporting branch operations, mentoring team members, and serving as a trusted banking resource. You will independently open and maintain consumer and business accounts, assist with audits and account exceptions, support digital banking services, and promote bank products and services that strengthen customer relationships. This position also serves as a mentor and primary support resource for Personal Banker I employees throughout the region.

What You'll Do
Customer Relationship Management- Open and maintain new consumer and business accounts independently
- Perform maintenance on existing consumer and business accounts
- Open and maintain customer deposit and savings accounts
- Build strong customer relationships through exceptional service and financial solutions
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate bank products and services
- Maintain extensive knowledge of bank products and services to provide accurate information and solutions
- Assist customers with basic CDARS questions and support officers with CDARS paperwork
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assistance and mentorship for Personal Banker I employees within your region
- Assist with onboarding and training new Head Tellers
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Head Tellers and Tellers
- Act as a knowledgeable resource for teammates and support branch success
- Work independently with minimal oversight while contributing to team goals
- Monitor and clear account and maintenance exceptions according to established procedures
- Review and make decisions on NSF exceptions within bank guidelines
- Exercise sound judgment when approving or declining overdrafts based on customer relationships, account history, and risk factors
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual Retail Banking audits
- Conduct surprise currency audits
- Serve as a liaison between Retail Banking and Deposit Operations, Treasury Management, and Payment Solutions
- Serve as an expert resource for customers and teammates utilizing digital banking services
- Troubleshoot digital banking issues and provide customer support
- Stay informed about digital banking tools and enhancements
- Stay current on banking regulations, policies, and security procedures
- Recognize scams, phishing attempts, fraud indicators, and other risks
- Ensure compliance with operational, regulatory, and security requirements
- Help protect customers and the bank from potential losses
- Travel between branches as needed to support business needs
- Assist with Head Teller, Teller II, and Teller I responsibilities when needed
- Collaborate effectively with team members across locations and departments
- Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented environment
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of banking experience, including cash handling and customer service
- Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, qualifying motor vehicle record, and reliable transportation
- High level of professionalism and integrity
- Strong business acumen

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of banking experience
- Previous experience mentoring or leading banking team members
- Advanced knowledge of retail banking operations and consumer/business account services
