About the role
Hotel Bardo Savannah is seeking a Night Auditor to serve as the overnight ambassador of the hotel while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of daily financial and operational reporting. This role combines exceptional guest service with attention to detail, balancing front desk responsibilities with overnight accounting and audit functions.
The Night Auditor is responsible for creating a safe, welcoming, and seamless experience for guests during overnight hours while completing the daily audit process and preparing the property for a successful day ahead. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.
This role is perfect for someone who is looking for part time Night Audit work, or full time work that includes Night Audit as well as daytime Guest Service Agent shifts.
This is an onsite role at Hotel Bardo Savannah.
What you'll do
- Provide exceptional guest service during overnight hours, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest assistance
- Complete all nightly audit procedures and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and reports
- Balance daily revenue, payments, and settlement reports
- Prepare and distribute required operational and financial reports
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and emergencies
- Maintain awareness of hotel occupancy, arrivals, departures, and special guest needs
- Communicate overnight activities and important information to hotel leadership and incoming shifts
- Monitor hotel security and safety throughout the night, following all emergency procedures and protocols
- Assist with reservations, room assignments, and administrative tasks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Front Desk and lobby areas
- Support the hotel's service culture by creating memorable guest experiences and resolving issues proactively
Qualifications
- Previous Night Audit experience at an upscale or luxury full-service hotel or resort is required
- Experience auditing a complex hotel operation with multiple revenue streams, such as rooms, food and beverage, spa, club, retail, or other resort amenities
- Previous guest-facing Front Desk Agent or Guest Services experience is required
- Working knowledge of hotel accounting procedures, daily revenue reconciliation, payment processing, and financial reporting
- Experience using a hotel property management system and completing end-of-day or overnight audit procedures
- Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Demonstrated ability to provide polished, professional service in a luxury or upscale hospitality environment
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and remain composed during guest concerns or emergency situations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Dependable attendance and the ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
- For full-time consideration, flexibility to work a combination of overnight Night Audit shifts and daytime Guest Service Agent shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move banquet equipment as needed.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules based on business demands.
